10-minute Summer Makeup
Holy summer heat ya’ll….it’s here!
We have had triple-digit temps here in OK, which means it’s time to lighten up the makeup routine! I was already minimizing the routine as it is since I wear a mask most of my day at work, but I also love the feel of a lighter face anyways! I’m able to pull off this look thanks to a few major key makeup products, and I’m also sharing my new favorite mascara concoction with you guys. Let’s dig in….
The major ingredient to this summer makeup look involves the Tula Face Filter Primer. Since my face has gotten some summer sun, the Face Filter is the perfect lightweight coverage to just blur your complexion slightly! It auto-adjusts as you rub it between your fingers, and applies smoothly and helps to hydrate all day long. The perfect no-foundation base layer that lets your skin show, while also giving you just enough coverage!
On top of the Face Filter, I use my favorite Shape Tape concealer on my under-eye area, as well as a dab on the bridge of my nose and on my chin. After blending that in well with my beauty blender, I apply my favorite two powders. The IT Cosmetics Pores No More applies beautifully under the eyes, as well as helps to combat any T-zone oiliness. I then use the Revlon Photoready powder on the rest of my face for just an added boost of complexion coverage.
Next I use bronzer to hit the areas of my face that need bronzer, as well as using it on my eyelids to add some color! Who needs eyeshadow when you can just dab on some bronzer and blush?? Then for my eyes, I only hit my brows using a combination of brow gel and pencil, and then I use my favorite new combo of mascaras. I start first with the Loreal Lash Paradise Mascara primer and apply one coat to each eye on the upper lash. Let that set for about 30 seconds, and then I apply the Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Mascara. I sweep upwards, as well as applying the opposite direction at the tips of the lashes. I usually use two coats of the Lash Lift Mascara, and don’t forget the bottom lash line!
Finish up with a quick swipe of your favorite gloss or tinted lip balm, and you’ve got an easy, 10 minute face! Perfect for the summer time, for quick makeup days, or any days in between! If you have questions, feel free to leave them below! I’ve linked my favorite products for the look above, so check those out too! Until next week….
