A BIG (actually little) SURPRISE!
S U R P R I S E !
I’m so excited to finally share with you all the big news I’ve been keeping to myself…we’re going to be parents!
It’s our first baby, and our little family is growing by two tiny feet later this summer! The excitement has been hard to contain, as have the first trimester side effects, which is why I haven’t been super present on the blog and social media lately! Your girl has been one tired mama growing this little babe…as well as nauseous, moody, and all the other wonderful experiences of early motherhood. But now our little secret is out!
Just a few simple Q’s and A’s about our little baby product junkie….
When is our due date? – August 2nd, but we will see about that! I’m currently 15 weeks and a few days along.
Will we find out gender? – We have already done the blood test to know, and my mom is planning our gender reveal!
Quarantine baby? – Nope! My husband and I started trying before the pandemic even began, and I’ll share with you all more about our fertility (and infertility) journey. I think it’s important to talk about!
Do we have any names picked out? – We have some that we like! It’s much easier to agree on boy names right now than girl, so we are anxious to find out our little baby’s gender!
How am I feeling? – Much better going into the second trimester. Like I mentioned above, my first wasn’t necessarily the worst, but it wasn’t easy either. I napped and slept more than I ever have in my life, dealt with daily headaches, all-day nausea, and some serious food aversions.
And how is Dash feeling about adding a new human to our household?
Only time will tell! I think he will be anxious to have a playmate once the baby is big enough, but we will definitely be doing some pre-baby training to be safe! I can’t wait to share more with you all about baby and how things are going, including some of my maternity fashion finds, nursery plans, pregnancy skincare and more! It’s going to be an exciting time on the blog! That is as long as I get to bed around 9 PM first….
