Best of – 2019 Recap

Well it’s finally here – A BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW YEAR!!

Maybe because it’s a new decade, but I’m really more into the whole “New Year” thing more than I usually am. Also maybe because I’m starting a new decade myself this year, since I’m turning the big 3-0 in two days, but I thought it would be fun to do a Product Junkie “Best Of” post, highlighting all of my favorite products and tools of the past year! Kind of an “award show” post if you will!

I’ll subcategorize into different sections for hair, makeup, skincare and random…and as always you can shop directly from each image!

Firstly we will start with my favorite, makeup! I’ve got favorite products linked for every possible product you can use for your face. My new favorite foundation from Too Faced, an inexpensive brow pencil, my favorite lip products for any complexion, and other tried and true favorites! I sampled many new products this year, and in turn found some great products worth splurging on (the Too Faced foundation and Charlotte Tilbury lipstick), and others I could definitely economize on!

Next we have hair care! Products, hot tools, shampoo and conditioner! I’ve linked all of my favorite things, and I’ll also link my favorite new hair tool of the year…my Flourish Trio Interchangeable Wand! Some of my favorite products included the Bed Head Wave Iron, Living Proof Dry Shampoo and the Volume Blast, and some of the new Kristin Ess products from Target! I also found a new, affordable flat iron this year that I love, plus the perfect toning products for blonde hair, and any hair color using the Kristin Ess toning kits!

My skincare section is smaller than the others since I started working with a dermatologist this year to really target my skin issues. I tried to only use what products I knew worked best for my skin and complexion, but I discovered some great products and tips along the way! My derm recommended using Paula’s Choice for their affordability and their rate of success, and I use their moisturizer and Azaleic Acid booster (great for Rosacea and acne!) and I love them both. I started using a great, everyday SPF that’s mineral-based, and I also started using the Tula everyday cleanser and can no longer go without it! Add in a couple excellent products that I love for my combo skin from Origins and IT cosmetics + the best affordable clay cleanser for congested skin, and you’ve got some serious skin care in this section!

Lastly, I have a couple items that were favorites this year on the blog, including my best-selling handbag, favorite affordable hat, and some more Amazon finds…perfect for any budget!

2019 has been a wonderful year, and my first year of blogging! Thank you all so much for sticking with me through the growing pains and the learning process, and I can’t wait to see what 2020 will hold for the blog! See you next year!
