Christmas Decor Inspo
Only 13 days until Christmas friends!
We are halfway through the month of December, and in case you haven’t already decorated your tree, I’ve got some fresh decor pics to share with you guys!
Anyone who knows me knows that I love Christmas. I come by that love genetically, and while some might call it a sickness or madness, I absolutely love it. My mother always set up multiple trees, and I grew up always helping her decorate, bake, shop, and do all of the Christmas activities. Now it has turned into me having five Christmas trees of my own, and all of the accompanying knick knacks to show for it! It makes me sad every year in January when it’s time to take down all of the cozy lights and festive decor. So until then, I’ll enjoy all of the Christmas craziness, wrap my gifts, and wait for Santa to show up in two weeks!
We will start in the living room with my biggest tree. It’s traditional, 9 feet tall, and covered with family ornaments of all kinds of reds, greens, golds and other metallics. I also purchased this amazing pre-lit garland this year from our local Costco, and I love how fluffy it was for our mantle! I also used a variety of small Christmas knick knacks to integrate into our built-ins in the living room, incorporating bottle brush trees, small figurines, and a Christmas sign or two!
(Tree basket was purchased from Dillards)
In our dining room, I used my new flocked slim tree from Hobby Lobby. I kept a similar theme in all of the decor in this area, by using metallic finishes, neutrals, and farmhouse touches. The ceramic mercury glass trees were purchased from Target, and I kept my dining room table setting neutral by using an Opalhouse table runner and layering greenery around the candlesticks. I used a variety of metallic and glitter picks in this tree for added fluffiness, and they were all purchased from Target or Hobby Lobby. The merry tree topper and tree skirt was found at Kirklands!
In my kitchen I have another slim pencil tree from Michaels, and if you caught my Insta-stories highlight, I show how to put it into the basket! I love that it doesn’t take up room with a tree skirt, and I stuck with a red and white theme, including this new buffalo plaid rug from Target! The felted pom pom garland is also from Michaels, since felted garland is very trendy this season. This is my second year to hang a garland from our kitchen window too, and I just love the cozy look it gives! I now have the firm belief that every kitchen window needs garland from now on!
My fourth tree is a silver tinsel tree that I decorate with tons of antique and Shiny Bright ornaments. I love the vintage feel and all of the many colors in all the antique ornaments. This tree used to reside in our dining room, but with a new puppy I didn’t want any of these antique ornaments getting broken on a hardwood floor! So now my cat gets to enjoy it in our spare bedroom of our house!
Last but not least is our bedroom tree. It’s a champagne gold pencil tree, and I am a definite believer in bedroom trees. Slim or pencil-width trees are so easy to set up in any corner, decorated or not! It’s simple, undecorated, and easy…and it adds so much coziness to our room! Simply add a pencil tree to your bedroom and trust me, you’ll feel the same way!
So there you have a firsthand look at the trees and Christmas decor in our house! It’s always a process getting all of it out, and it’s definitely madness for about a week, but when it’s all up and finished it’s simply beautiful!
What’s your favorite thing to decorate at the holidays??
