Makeup Looks I’m Crushing On
With my sister’s wedding coming up this weekend, I’ve been on Pinterest a lot lately looking for inspiration for hair, nails, and makeup. I haven’t been that adventurous lately with my makeup looks thanks to COVID-19, staying home, and wearing a mask all day long, but you can always use some fresh ideas to step out of your box and try new looks and techniques with your makeup application! I found these inspiration pictures below, and I love the glowy pink metallic hues of the eyeshadow looks, as well as the bronzed but not overly highlighted cheeks. All of these eye looks also have cat-eye eyeliner, and I’m still very much working on that technique! (It’s hard with hooded eyelids, but I’m trying!)
I’ve linked every product that went in to making this final makeup look. The key product here is my eyeshadow palette. The Make Magic Happen palette from Tarte is absolutely gorgeous and has every color you need to pull off this smoky, rose quartz vibe! (I was shooting for the picture in the middle) I used a couple accompanying colors from the Urban Decay Naked 3, which is a beautiful palette featuring so many rose gold shades! This look would be gorgeous on any eye color, just by using more plums or browns in the crease to accentuate your eye color!
Another makeup tip I want to tell you all about, is my new mascara combo. I’m not wearing falsies in the pictures above, because they really weren’t necessary! And by layering my two new mascaras, that are $10 or less, you can create a BIG lash effect. I begin with the Essence Lash Princess to lengthen my lashes, and then I apply the Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift mascara to enhance and curl the lashes. Finish with a final coat of either mascara and you can’t go wrong! I’ve been wearing this combo for the last week and I’m sold!
Hopefully you’ve looked at some gorgeous new eye palettes from reading this, or maybe you want to try the same look yourself. Either way, thank you so much for reading! I’ll be back next week with a tutorial video you voted on last week!
