November Faves & Gratitude

One more day until all the food, family and fun, ya’ll!!

But since it’s just a normal Wednesday for me, I thought I’d round up some of my favorite products for the month of November! I’ve tried some new things this month, and I’ll be discussing some of these in an upcoming makeup tutorial video! I also wanted to take a minute to reflect on some things in my life that I’m especially grateful for, and since tomorrow is Thanksgiving…what better time is this??

Just in time for the holidays, Fresh Beauty released a brand new shade of their tinted lip balms. I absolutely love all of their lip balms for their moisturizing qualities, but this new red color “ICON” is a game changer. It’s a universally flattering red for all skin tones, and the buildable coverage and color are perfect! I’ve also linked several of my other favorite colors, and you can pick them up in store at your local Sephora too!

Next in this month’s favorites I have the Charlotte Tilbury lip kit I mentioned the other day in my Instastories, as well as a new under-eye brightener! The Gift of Pillow Talk Lips is the perfect gift for Christmas or for yourself! Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are some of the most coveted in all lipsticks, and the “Pillow Talk” shade is the perfect peachy/pink nude. I finally broke down and ordered this kit when I saw it listed on the Sephora gift section, and I love that it came with a coordinating lip liner!

I also tried out the Becca Undereye Brightening Corrector, and I’m loving it so far! I layer it under my concealer and foundation when I apply my foundation primer, and it’s the perfect peachy illuminating corrector to help light reflect off your skin and cover under eye circles!

Lastly, I wanted to link my favorite mascara combination of the month. I’ve mentioned this IT Cosmetics Lash Blowout Mascara before, but I’m still very impressed with it, and especially used with a mascara primer! QVC is still running their special that you can get 2 of the Lash Blowout Mascaras for less than $30, which is incredible since normally one is around $25!

I’ve also been using it in conjunction with a cheap mascara primer that I love, the Loreal Lash Paradise Primer, and it is a great combination. The primer acts as a base for your mascara, and allows you to kind of shape and set your lashes, while using less of your actual mascara. Lash Paradise is a great drugstore mascara, and I love how full and blown out my lashes look after using these two products together!

So there you have some great products for the month of November that I’ve been loving. I also wanted to take this opportunity to express some things I’m especially thankful for this year (since tomorrow is Thanksgiving….it’s not just for food you know…).

Firstly….I’m especially thankful for my husband. We’ve gone through our first year of marriage, a year full of laughs and memories. And while there have been bumps in the road, he’s always my rock when I need him. He encourages me to succeed not only in my career in Forensics, but also holds down the fort at home most of the time while I’m trying to create content and write posts for you guys in the evenings and weekends. Not many women always talk about the husbands behind the blogs, but mine is certainly a key element to helping this blog survive for the last 10 months!

Secondly…I’m always thankful for my family. Even as we all get older, spread our wings, and grow up and out from one another, there’s nothing better than time spent together with the people that often know you best. If you have a loving and supportive family, I hope that you cherish them often and always. But if you find yourself separated from your family for whatever reasons you have, I hope that you can find your tribe of people that will love and support you unconditionally.

Thirdly….I’m thankful for each and every one of you that takes the time to read my posts. It’s been a vulnerable year working on this blog, and I have felt so encouraged every time you comment on a picture, or tell me you tried a product and loved it, and that is exactly why I wanted to start this project. I want to help you feel more confident in your life, just as you have helped me to feel in mine. Babes support babes, and you babes have certainly supported me!

I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving, whatever that holiday means to you! I’ll share a few great Black Friday deals and I’m going to have some makeup and decorating content for you guys in December! Thanks as always for reading along.
