Recent Product Favorites

I’m back with another beauty blog post, highlighting some of my recent favorites in skincare, makeup and hair care!

I’ve been trying to focus on quality products to really help with multiple issues, and that also are worth every penny! Whether it’s trying to repair hair damage, combat dry skin, or find multitasking makeup products, this blog post has them all! Quickly, you can find them linked below, and I’ll tell you why I love them all!

Skincare

For skincare I’ve included my two go-to facewashes. One is a gentle cleanser that I’ve started using in lieu of my Tula face cleanser, and the other is a great exfoliating face wash to help with aging and acne-prone skin. I started using the CeraVe Cream-to-Foam Cleanser to replace my usual Tula face wash. I love that it’s extremely gentle and great for dry skin! It also easily removes your makeup and cleanses in the same step. The second face wash is my beloved Botanic Tree Glycolic Acid Face Wash. It’s perfect for exfoliation and regenerating fresh skin cells, which is great for aging or acne-prone skin. It contains 10% glycolic acid, as well as many other natural skincare ingredients that are great for your skin!

Makeup

So like many of you, I use and love the IT Cosmetics CC cream, so when I heard that the e.l.f. CC cream was supposed to be an excellent dupe for it, I of course had to try it! Let me tell you this – I was NOT disappointed! I’ve also included an unfiltered picture of my skin when I wore it. There are a few subtle differences that I noticed so let’s compare and contrast!

The e.l.f. CC cream:

  • Only costs $14
  • SPF 30
  • Lighter, more natural looking coverage
  • Slightly dryer throughout day – perfect for oilier complexions
  • Still contains many great skincare ingredients

The IT Cosmetics CC Cream:

  • Costs $39.50
  • SPF 50
  • Fuller coverage
  • Great for drier skin – more moisturizing
  • Contains skin-loving ingredients

Both of these products come in many shades, which is great to accommodate all complexions. So really I would say the difference chalks up to price and skin type, so fortunately for me the e.l.f. will work just perfectly!

The other makeup product I wanted to mention was the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector! I’ve been using this for quite a while, and I love to layer it under my foundation, or easily under your under eye concealer to help neutralize and brighten dark circles. It’s also perfect for light to no-makeup days!

Hair Care

Lastly, we have two hair care products to help repair damage. Many of you have probably heard of the Olaplex Hair Perfector, and I finally bit the bullet and bought it to try! I do totally understand the cult-following behind this product. My hair was feeling a little dry and damaged, and using this product once a week can make a huge difference in your hair health! And only using that often will help it last a long time too! The other hair product I started using is the Elvive 8 Second Wonder Water, and it truly works in 8 seconds! It’s a lamellar rinse-out water product that you apply in the shower between shampoo and conditioner to help moisturize thirsty locks! It really does make my hair shinier and more manageable!

If you have any questions about any of the above-mentioned products, feel free to leave them below! I’ll be back again next week with some exciting blog content for you! Until then, have a great weekend!
