20 Date Night Ideas at Home
Since the weekend is upon us, I thought it would be fun to compile ideas for you to stay at home, have a date night, and be safe amongst the COVID chaos! My husband helped me compile this list, and it was fun for us to brainstorm together while we are working together at home. Our coworker, Dash, is proving to be QUITE the distraction!
With keeping CDC recommendations in mind, I also tried to come up with fun ideas that were outside of the box and realm of your normal “Netflix and chill” ideas! So without further ado, here’s our list! You’ll need it for the next several weeks I’m sure! Some cost absolutely nothing too!
Date Night Ideas
-Board game night
-Card game night
-Make a pillow fort and play games! Fun for the whole family too!
-Have a “Chopped” cook off! Give each other three random ingredients (clean out those pantries!), and see who can create the best dish! (Also use your kids as taste-testers!)
-Dance Party – all kinds of playlists exist on streaming platforms
-Spa Night – bust out the cucumbers, face masks and shoulder rubs
-Cook each other a fancy dinner and have a picnic – indoors or out!
-Classic movie night – look for old, black and white classic movies you may have never seen!
-Music night – if you’re musically inclined, play together! Music is such a great stress reliever in times like this!
-Have a bake-off! Or just bake something fun for you two, or the fam, to enjoy!
-Play 50 questions! Come up with the most random questions you can ask your partner and enjoy the laughs that ensue.
-If the weather is nice, take the time to enjoy the outdoors!
-Spend some patio time outdoors
-Go for a walk together – even better, hold hands!
-Tackle a home renovation project you’ve been putting off
-Stargaze from your backyard!
-Make milkshakes or have a fancy ice cream night
-Look online for fun trivia games!
-Listening party with vinyls or CD’s! (Throwbacks are best!)
-Watch your favorite comics online!
-Reenact the pottery scene from Ghost (JUST KIDDING!)
All in all, just have fun together! Laughter is the best way to get through these times, and it’s best when done together. Hopefully these times will pass soon, and the precautions we are taking now will help us in the long run! Just try to not go too stir-crazy! I’ll be back next week with more ideas for how to survive these times, and I’ll let you know when!
