A Casual, “On the Go” Look-book
As I was trying to come up with content for the blog for the month, I kept returning to fashion and I figured why not cover something that all women need. Whether you’re a busy mom of 2, a college student, or a middle-aged woman running errands, we all wear the same usual stuff when we are busy. It’s only natural to grab the first pair of tried and true black leggings and your favorite sweatshirt! (There’s no shame in that game!)
BUT….I thought how fun it might be to find a way to slightly jazz up the weekend wardrobe with a few easy pieces that are
1. Versatile 2. Comfortable and 3. Transitional.
The outfits I’m including below can easily be worn with leggings, jeans or shorts. I’ll also go ahead and link what I can, and share similar pieces in case you see something to add to your wardrobe at home!
The first outfit involves leggings, but could easily be worn with boyfriend jeans, leggings or shorts! All I did was pair the leggings with a comfortable camo t-shirt and threw my favorite jean jacket on top! Easy layering, versatile in that you can ditch the jacket at any time, and I love mixing print patterns with the cheetah sneakers. Ultimately the outfit is much more chic than just leggings with a sweatshirt and not that difficult to throw together!

This outfit features one of my favorite purchases from Loft I’ve ever made…this adorable oatmeal poncho! It’s a french-terry material and is so comfortable and great for layering. Once again, I could easily style this with leggings or other pants, but instead I’m wearing my favorite power straight jeans from Old Navy. They are so soft and they break in so well that they feel like they’re just for me! I also love the ease of a mule-type shoe, just slip them on and you’re out the door!

I thought I would throw in a couple additional items that are adorable and great transitional items for spring! The daisy embroidered field jacket is a favorite jacket of mine, and the blush Moto jacket is too cute! I also found this adorable striped sweatshirt from Loft that would look great with jeans/jeggings or a comfortable Ponte pant. Either way, by layering and adding different prints, you can really jazz up any outfit! Give it a try the next time you reach for your favorite pair of leggings!

So there are a couple ideas for jazzing up your weekend wardrobe! (Or weekdays if you’re lucky!) Hopefully warmer weather is upon us and spring is finally here! I’ve got some fun things planned for the month of April, including video tutorials, Mother’s Day, and a giveaway happening over on Instagram!
