Everyday Hair Curling Tutorial

It’s finally here!!!

I have recorded an everyday hair curling tutorial for how I achieve my curled hair look. I learned how to curl my hair in college using a curling iron, but I have recently switched to using a curling wand in the last year. I love using either, but I used my new wand for the tutorial that I am in love with. It’s called the Flourish Trio from Twist Me Pretty and it’s extremely versatile for all hair types, lengths, and curl outcomes.

While the video is a bit lengthy, I detail many tips and tricks for how to make your curls last, fight frizz, and change up the pattern of your curls and waves! If you’ve never attempted to curl your hair before, or never had great luck, hopefully this will help you improve your technique. Practice certainly makes perfect, so watch the video and bust out your curling wands and irons! Your perfect hair day is in sight!

Products used:
Heat Protectant Spray
Texturizing Spray
Hairspray

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to comment below or shoot me an email! I am more than happy to help you figure out how to best curl your hair!

Send me your hair pics after you try some of these tips! If you’re following on Instagram or in our Facebook group, I’m announcing a fun giveaway over on Insta for you and a friend to win gift cards…so stay tuned for that, and thanks as always for watching and reading!

  1. ok Chels- Your hair is so gorgeous ! question – You know my baby fine /thin hair ( color -treated also). I have the Oribe super fine hairspray LOVE . The Oribe folks sent me Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray accidentally . Thank Oribe! I have never figured it out ! What does it do? It may not even work for my hair! Is it like the texturizing spray? Should I be using a texturizing spray at all? Thanks !

    1. I LOVE the Apres Beach Wave and Shine spray too!! That’s another great product! It’s not as gritty or texturizing as the Texture spray, but it helps to kind of enhance waves with a bit of sea salt and also adds shine. The texturizing spray is a matte finish (no shine), so I love to use the Apres Beach on days when my hair is kind of frizzier….so for your fine hair I think the Texture spray would work much much better to add grit, texture and volume…but the Apres beach can be applied just like I applied the Texturizing spray in the video tutorial. Try using it that way, and if it doesn’t leave you with enough desired volume, texture or fullnes…then try the Oribe Texture Spray!
