Fall Decor Inspiration
It’s finally October, the temperatures are starting to drop, and the pumpkin candles are burning….so it must finally be FALL!!
I look forward to this time of year for many reasons. The weather change, the fashion changes, the color changes, it’s truly my favorite! And I love getting out my fall decorations to transition my home from summer into fall. I usually go with a mixture of harvest-inspired colors, with lots of pops of orange! And as much as I love Halloween, I don’t go crazy because of my own laziness to put it away after Halloween has passed and get out Thanksgiving instead. Therefore, I go for just an overall fall theme! Lots of pumpkins, leaves, and fall colors! Most of my horde comes from Target, TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, and some Amazon finds!
I’ve linked everything I can in the links below, so feel free to reference it for all of the picture inspiration to come!
When it comes to fall decor, you of course have to start with your porch! My husband is completely baffled that I keep coming home with pumpkins every day, but I can’t help adding to my collection! I found some great pumpkins this year at Ace Hardware and Trader Joe’s that weren’t crazy expensive, and my local Walmart had some great mums! Add in a new fall doormat from Target and you’re good to go!

Next, I added some fall implements to my standard front porch wreath. All you need is a plain wicker wreath from your local craft store. Then I added our initial with some thin florist wire, a buffalo plaid ribbon, and some simple fall picks! It’s so versatile and easy to change out for different seasons and holidays, and I love the simplicity of the greenery and white pumpkins with the buffalo plaid ribbon!
Next, I had to decorate the fireplace of our living room. It’s the focal point of our entire living area and the first thing you see when you walk into our house. I added a fall leaf garland and added some wicker picks to it from Hobby Lobby to kind of “beef” it up a bit. I switched out some of my regular items and added this beautiful orange vase and fall floral. I found the orange plaid throw at TJ Maxx and the festive pillow cover from Amazon! What a steal!! Now it’s cozy, inviting, and ready for cooler weather and a fire!

Next I added some subtle pumpkin decor to our bookshelf built-ins, and some other small touches where I could! Mini pumpkins make it easy to put in anywhere you can. I also hunted down these adorable fabric pumpkins this year from Target, and I love the print mixing and fabric exterior of them! They’re also extremely budget friendly!

Lastly is my fall table decor in our formal dining area! I’ve had these glass candlesticks for a long time, but I swapped out my usual gray pillar candles for some beautiful gold candles, adding in some extra mercury-glass votive holders and some pinecones. I also experimented with hanging a fall wreath on my mirror (and yes, a 3M hook would work better!), and I love how it turned out! Subtle, but a moody harvest feel overall.

So there it is! A quick tour of my fall decor theme for our house! Closer to Halloween I have a couple spooky things I’ll pull out, but luckily most of this can remain out until its time for Christmas to come out! (Which is immediately following Thanksgiving #sorrynotsorry) I’m trying my best to remain active on here and on social media, but this puppy business is no joke! Add in a bathroom remodel project, and my hands have certainly been busy lately! Hopefully things will calm down soon and I’ll be back up and running at full capacity! Have a wonderful rest of your week, everyone.
