January Beauty Favorites

Holy cow you guys, this is officially my 1 year anniversary of blogging!

One year ago I published my first blog post with some Winter beauty favorites, and a year later I’m still sticking with it! Blogging has brought me new friendships, taught me so many things, and most importantly…showed me just how far hard work will get you! It’s truly a hustle managing a full-time career, plus blogging and all of the usual life events in between…but somehow we make it through it and you’re still sticking with me!

Per the usual, I’m recapping some of my favorite products at the end of the month that may be new to my beauty routine, or also a tried and true favorite. I’ve got a few fun new things to discuss, so let’s dive in!

Pur Fully Charged Mascara

First I have one of my new favorite mascaras! In case you missed it, a year ago I did an in-depth analysis of several different mascaras, from the drugstore and from prestige brands. I think I need to do an updated version soon, because I am CRITICAL of mascara products. (You can read that post HERE!) I picked up this Pur Fully Charged Mascara on Black Friday, and I have really enjoyed it. It’s a fabulous volumizing mascara, and it really gives your lashes some oomph! The days I don’t wear it, I end up wishing I had. Pick it up at your local ULTA, or shop online from the link above!

Tarte Shape Tape Glow Wand

This product is extremely new to the Tarte line, and once I saw that ULTA finally had it, I immediately bought it to try it out. It’s taken some trial and error of how best to use it in my daily makeup application (I don’t wear it daily), but I’ve finally figured out how I like it best! It gives a beautiful glow and concentrated highlight where applied, so I love to apply it after my foundation and concealer, just along the top of my cheek bones. I dab/blend it in either with my beauty blender or finger, and then apply powder on top for a subtle “glow” underneath my makeup. If you like highlighter or want to give yourself a fresh “glow” in your makeup routine, then this is a great product! (I purchased the “Sunbeam” shade)

Laneige Sleeping Mask

I just purchased this face mask recently, but I can already tell its going to be a wonderful product for the winter months. I suffer from sensitive skin and rosacea, as well as a combination complexion. The winter months can be trying to manage dryness without setting off acne, oiliness, etc. This mask is extremely hydrating, and the best thing is it works while you sleep! It’s a little sticky at first, but soaks in overnight to reveal soothed skin by the morning. My complexion looked much calmer the next morning after using it, and I think it’ll be great to use on a weekly basis! Over 300 five-star reviews don’t lie…this is an amazing product and it’s brand new!
(Also peek the Laneige Lip Mask too for dehydrated lips!)

Pravana Perfect Blonde

I’ve mentioned this product before in my blog post on some of my favorite blonde hair products (located HERE), but I recently purchased it again since I’ve highlighted my hair again. It is truly a godsend for blonde hair, highlighted hair, and silver hair! It only takes a few minutes to work it’s magic in the shower, and it really helps to eliminate brassy tones in your hair and give it that bright, icy, shiny look you want for blondes! If you just want to try it out, they make a travel-sized version sold at ULTA, so give that a try first (and save some $) before you decide whether or not it helps with the tone of your hair!

Sephora Cream Lip Stain

Lastly, I wanted to mention this cream lip stain because I found the perfect red for Valentine’s Day! I’m wearing it in the picture above, and I am very impressed with the wearability of this lip product. It’s long lasting, not drying (and if it does, just apply some lip balm on top!), and great saturated color at a great price point! I have 3 colors of this cream lip stain, and I can’t wait to try more! (I’m wearing Red Velvet above and it’s the perfect blue-red!)

So there you have it! Five wonderful products to work into your beauty routine! I’ve got some GREAT upcoming fashion posts in the month of February I’m really excited about, so stay tuned for those! Now go out there and seize your Wednesday and work it!
