Spring Home Decor Refresh
Well happy THURSDAY friends!
I had every intention of having this post ready to go on our usual Wednesday routine, but then the deeper I dived into this post, the longer it took! So buckle up, because I’ve got all kinds of great new things linked in this post! When spring rolls around, it’s only natural to not only want to spring clean and purge, but also to redecorate!
I love to look for simple ways to spruce up my usual decor scheme, either by introducing new textures and colors, even switching up art prints on the walls! This year the Pantone color of the year is classic blue, so be prepared for lots of blue and white-themed decor! I also love to use soft pastels, and soft pink is definitely having a year this year for home decor! I’ve linked all kinds of fresh items from some of my favorite retailers – Target, TJ Maxx, Amazon and Wayfair! Keep reading below!
Bedroom
Firstly I’ll start with the bedroom! This an area of the house that gets changed for functionality reasons first and foremost. I’m preparing for warm spring temperature and hot summer months, so I change out our bedding! I take our heavy down duvet and trade it in for a lighter-weight comforter set. Throw in a fresh set of sheets (I’ve linked my favorites above!), and trade out our throw pillows (which is easy to do by just changing covers!) and other textiles for a more spring-friendly color palette. Throw in some additional faux plants for some color and functional storage, and you’ve got a spruced up place to rest your head for the spring and summer months!
Bathroom
The bathroom is always a fun space to update for spring vibes! It’s easy to switch out a shower curtain, purchase a fresh set of towels, and give your bathroom the updated looks it needs! It’s often a forgotten decorative zone of the home, so its always nice to give yourself something new to look at. For an even more in-depth change, try changing out your artwork or adding a decorative shelf as well as a fresh or faux plant! I also love to spring clean my bathroom of all the products lurking under my bathroom cabinets (I am a product junkie…I acquire a few….), which means finding creative ways to organize and store what I have! I’m a fan of baskets of all types, plastic, natural fibers, etc. it’s whatever is functional for you, but also pleasing to the eye!
Living
Next is the room of the house you probably spend a majority of your time in – the living room. The function is right there in the title, this room is for LIVING! So do so comfortably, but also in a way that pleases you visually. I always switch out my throw pillows seasonally, so spring and summer are no exception. In the living room, it’s also great to update your lighting and knick knack collection, so I add in spring-themed decor. Whether or not Easter/spring decor is your “jam”, it’s an excellent idea to throw in faux greenery and floral for color to ease those post-winter decor blues. I also linked several throws, baskets, poufs, and trendy items that would be perfect for your living room!
Kitchen
Lastly is the kitchen, which can always easily be decorated! By changing out your usual kitchen towels for springier color palettes and adding new serveware, you will be so ready for the spring and summer months! Adding new rugs and other textiles are also so perfect for the kitchen setting. I also love to stage my countertop decor with the feel for the season, which includes greenery, art prints, and I love the tiered trays linked above! I just might be adding one to my kitchen peninsula as well! They can be used functionally, or also for decoration!
Hopefully you’ve found some fresh inspiration for your home this spring. If you have issues with any of the links above, just let me know! Otherwise, I’ll be back next week discussing the new skincare and beauty products I’ve tried and loved this month! March is quickly approaching, and I have a busy spring planned! I’m planning and hosting showers, doing Matron of Honor duties, and I’ll be taking you all along with me! Thanks as always for reading along and supporting the Product Junkie blog.
